Our mission is to collect accurate data on women diagnosed with breast cancer in Michigan. We will collect demographic, diagnostic, treatment, and outcome data, and use this information to evaluate current standards of care and to initiate quality improvement efforts that will advance breast cancer treatments in order to improve patient outcomes.
Analyze and describe the patterns of care for breast cancer.
Monitor concordance of practice with NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) in member institutions
Guide each participating institution in the development of a site specific Quality Improvement (QI) agenda.
Create a feedback loop to participating institutions, practicing physicians, and guideline panels to facilitate the continuous improvement of the quality of cancer care.
Offer benchmarking capabilities to institutions comparing network data, institutional data, national academic institution data, and Michigan data.
Create a QI Agenda across the consortium.
